Testimonials

Provost's work is a looking glass from nature to society . Sometimes horrific, sometimes beautiful, yet replete with subtle hints of hope or despair. There is a guiding tone in her work that shows us what is hard to face on our own. As an insightful dream or nightmare beckons contemplation -- however inconclusive -- so too does the haunting imagery of Provost's work. Samuel Plainfield, Client

For me, Provost’s Sunforest is a portal to an idyllic place where nature prevails, untarnished by the outputs of human settlement on this planet. The piece also evokes for me a fondness for the works of legendary landscape painter Vincent Van Gogh, boldly communicating to me, through the bold and ethereal hues of green and orange, the essence of the Sunflower as a symbol of the inherent divinity within man. Joelle successfully orchestrates a delicate and courageous balance of grace, earthly splendor and an accountability of our species. Her work inspires the experiencer through her bountiful expression of the natural environment, while at the same time infers a call to action to protect it. Joelle’s art is, and has always been, primarily a tool for her to express her innate passion for animal and environmental welfare.  Her single minded purpose is to use her art to raise awareness of these pressing issues with a marked sense of hopefulness for the future.  I’ve followed Joelle Provost’s career since it's inception and I can say that where others “walk the walk”, Joelle runs. I’ve purchased multiple pieces from this artist over the years and am proud to know that I’m not only acquiring a beautiful piece, I’m supporting a cause that I fervently care for.
